SLICE 2011: Invigorating the Cooperative Economy
October 21 — October 22
Seattle, Washington
500 Broadway East, Seattle, WA 98102
In previous years, Strengthening Local Independent Co-ops Everywhere (SLICE) programming addressed everything from cooperative basics for people starting or interested in starting a new co-op, to general information for anyone who supports co-ops, and advanced collaboration opportunities for existing co-ops and cooperators. SLICE 2011: Invigorating the Cooperative Economy is a two-day summit where cooperators, developers, activists, social innovators, policy makers, and the economic development community will forge practical strategies for nourishing a new Cooperative Movement which, at its heart, explicitly includes a commitment to social and environmental justice as well as sustainable cooperative development.
